4 people and a large dog in 800 sqft doesn't leave much room for collecting plants. But with a little out of the box thinking you can find beautiful ways to display your new plant adoptions.
When more and more plants started coming through my door I quickly had to stop and evaluate my space. With a bit of effort I narrowed down my book collection to fit within the shelves provided (double stacked). This allowed for the entire TV stand open to accomedate new plant friends.
As you can see a couple big plants can quickly begin to crowd your space. But your collecting doesn't slow? Time to find more space.
In this, I pulled an unused ikea flowing table to extend out and under the windowsil. This basically creates two new rows for plants to sit.
Now I happen to have a south facing window in front of my desk, a large portion of my cacti and succulents live there. I highly recommend using the curtain rods to hang a plant or two as well, so long as the weight allows.
And finally my last hack currently being utilized in my home is an over the door set of hooks. From those hooks hang macrame planters. This is especially good if you are renting and want ro refrain from putting holes in the walls.
What tricks do you use to create more space in your home for plants? Are you using any of the ways above? Let's be honest, it's always better to get creative rather than stop buying plants!! Leave me a comment and let me know what unique ways you display your plants, and some of them may end up saving me space as well!
